this is the largest RC helicopter in england. it has a 62cc petrol engine, four big servos on ccpm for cyclic control. also its over 20kg so comes under the `un-manned aircraft rules

This is a great and easy to fly RC Helicopter. Great gift idea. It comes with the IR transmitter, Separate charger, and the small RC helicopter. This is definitely a micro RC. It is very small. The Charger requires 8AA batteries. The IR transmitter requires 3 AAA batteries. The fuselage of the helicopter is 10cm. But if you include the blades it is 13cm in overal length. Still very small and compact. This is a coaxial helicopter and thus it is very stable. The forward, backward, and left and right movement is controlled by 2 small side propellers. They have 3 blades each on them and very powerful. I find this setup very easy to fly as compared to the single rear tail blade. However this version, there are more parts to break. Pros: Very affordable at around 20 to 30 US dollars. Very crash proof. Hard to break. Easy to learn to fly. Cons: Takes a lot of batteries. 11 total. Long time in between charges at 15 to 20minutes. Flight time varies at 5 to 10min. IR transmitter must always be pointing at the helicopter or it will lose signal.

This is my Bell 222 .30 size scale heli. I just finished it a few months ago. It’s been flown several times and is very stable. The fuselage kit is Century/Funkey. It has retractable landing gear, full navigation lights, including a scratchbuilt landing light that lights up when the gear goes down, and turns off as the gear go up. I laid over 2500 rivets using a syringe and Elmers glue before painting. The rivets around the vents at the top are “stick on” flush rivets from Germany, as most of the details such as handles and antennas. The side windows were made with clear sheet styrene, and all glass was painted with a tinted smoke paint. The idea is for someone to tell that there is something inside but not be able to tell what it is. I searched for weeks leading up to painting to find a color scheme I liked. I pretty much knew that I wanted royal blue and white, and ended up designing my own scheme based around a 222 I saw for sale on Ebay. I used PPG base/clear. The mechanics are Kyosho Nexus with an OS 32 engine, Futaba 401 gyro w/9253 digital rudder control, Futaba radio, Helimax carbon fiber blades, and Zeal turnbuckle linkages ****For all those who want to see her fly, click “more from this helipilot27″****One more thing, if you want to fly it and have Realflight, I designed a version for you to enjoy, download it at: www.knifeedge.com
